JailBreak/Unlock Your iPhone(1.1.1) in Windows

The easiest steps for unlocking your v1.1.1 iPhone in windows

Unlocking your iPhone needs following things

·         Strong Wi-Fi connection

·         A GSM SIM Card

·         A Windows Computer

·         Enough Patience

Stage 0

If you have tried to unlock or have unlocked your iPhone under firmware V 1.0.2 then it is recommended that you revirginize you iPhone

I personally did not have to do it (my case was a bit different) but i just restored my iPhone through iTunes with V 1.0.2 updated to V 1.1.1 (i also restored directly to V 1.1.1 in my attempt over unlocking my iPhone many ways)

but if you want to find out about revirginizing you can check out my Post about Revirginizing your iPhone

Stage 1

if you have an iPhone which has not been activated proceed from here otherwise go to 3b

1. Enter *#307# press call, now use the back button on the top of your screen to remove *#307# , now enter 0 , press call, press answer, press hold, press decline. And you get to the contact list. If you want to get to the contact you can repeat the same process over and over again

2. Add a dummy contact with whatever name you want. Add a home URL as prefs://1F . save the contact. Tap on the URL and it will ask you to select a Wi-Fi Network. Once you are connected please note down your Wi-Fi address you might need that later (you can do this later is well)

3a. Now add a new URL in the same contact and type in http://jailbreakme.com as web-address. Tap on that URL to go the website in your Safari and from there Scroll Down to click on Install AppSnap.

OR

3b. (If you have access to Safari on your Home Screen i.e. your iPhone is already activated) Open Safari and go to http://jailbreakme.com and from there scroll down to click on Install AppSnap

4. If Safari disappears and you return to the main Home screen, you’re good. Just wait a minute more for your unit to restart (Don’t touch anything until you see the slide to unlock screen). If it doesn’€™t restart, go ahead and restart manually. But If Safari hangs, just quit out (press and hold Home for 4-8 seconds) and try again.

5. Once you get to slide-to-unlock, go ahead and open your iPhone. You’ll return to your home screen which will contain a new Installer.app icon.

* If you want to use SSH and WinCP follow this steps (OLD METHOD) or go to NEW METHOD

*OLD METHOD*

6. Now you will need to install the BSD subsystem, Community Sources, and then install Open SSH (You may need to upgrade Installer.app )

7. Now Download AnySIM V1.1.1. open WinCP and connect to your iPhone using

Username = root & password = dottie OR alpine

8. Copy AnySIM V 1.1.1 to your iPhone’s Application€™s folder and make sure that the folder AnySIM.app and the file AnySIM inside it has rights 0755 (If not right click and select properties and just change it to 0755)

9. Restart your iPhone. Go to Settings and set General→Autolock to Never and run AnySIM V 1.1.1 (Make sure that your desired SIM card is in the iPhone)

10. after the successful run of the AnySIM tool you will have unlocked iPhone. Now sometimes the iPhone might give a message that Waiting for Activation. If that’s the case then Download Lock Down File. Extract it.

11. WinSCP your iPhone. Go to “/usr/libexec”. Replace the existing file (OR for your safety rename the file on iPhone as lockdown.back). Restart your iPhone and you would be FREE

12. Download the 3 files here. Extract it. WinSCP to your iPhone again. Go to “œ/var/root/Library/Lockdown/”. Notice you should not get any œ”activation record”€ folder. Replace the existing file now. Restart the iPhone again. You should now happy to get it work with YouTube.

* NEW METHOD *

6. Got Installer. Tap on Sources. Add Launch Installer on the iPhone

7. Tap Sources, Tap Edit, Tap Add

8. Enter http://iphone.blurgle.ca/repo in the url box and hit go. (not having a trailing slash matters) Installer.app will add the source.

9. Go back to Installer.app, tap “All Packages” and install AnySIM.

10. Run AnySIM and follow the on-screen instructions

11. Remove your SIM card and put it back in.

NOTE:- You might need to perform step 12 of OLD METHOD to activate Youtube.I haven’€™t used the new method so can’€™t confirm it.

Please Write in Your comments about these steps and corrections & suggestions would be very much appreciated.

  1. Hi, I am using iphone V1.1.1
I did exactly all the methods u mentioned in *** New method** then when i change my Sim it shows an error “Different Sim Detected” connect to iTunes for activation? What shouldi do?..

  2. okay as i mentioned i haven’t personally used this method so i am not exactly sure of how the process goes.

but can you try doing the step 11 of the OLD method to activate the SIM by copying the lockdown file????

here is what i would do

after running anysim i would just restart the phone without changing the sim as i never did that with any of the methods that i used to unlock my iPhone

try doing the same process without changing the SIM. and trust me even after all this, i can not unlock iphone without getting into some trouble so just keep patience and keep trying…!

    best of luck..!

  3. I’ve got the same problem. Had activated AT&T account FW: 1.1.1. Ported my iPhone No. to T-Mobile. Now iphone works as always but “no signal”. Since I had Safari available, just surfed to jailbreakme.com, installed and followed steps to install BSD and iPhoneSimFree (paid license). Took AT&T SIM out, rebooted (as IPSF states) and got “no sim” message, which I clicked off. Then ran SimFree which said “unlock successful”. I put in the t-mobile SIM and then got “different SIM detected, connect to iTunes”. I restored the phone and ran all steps again but same result. HELP! WHAT TO DO?!

  4. dont use ISPF unless your going to pay for a $60 liscense

  5. I used IPFS,phone is unlocked but it fails in activation. Some say I need to use iNdependence but is one long rocky path. Unlock is not simple for everyone.

  6. try this:
    http://modmyifone.com/wiki/index.php?title=IActivator_easy_iPhone_activation&diff=3534&oldid=3516

  7. I saw this: NOTE: iActivator has been superseded by iNdependence. Please use that from now on. This page has been left here for informational purposes only. –0p

  8. Doug – I am having the exact problem you are and I am waiting to here from ISPF support department to see what I can do. I feel that I just paid $60 to unlock the phone but only be able to use AT&T. Let me know if you find a solution. This iPhone has already cost me %700

  9. http://iphone.blurgle.ca/repo DOESNT WORK! ITS DOWN OR SOMETHING!! IM SO CLOSE BUT I CANT INSTALL ANYSIM WITH OUT THAT URL!

  10. This works great :) . I tried many other sites your method was simple n effective. Thank you sooooo freaking much :) .

  11. I have jailbroke, and activated my iphone. My sims card is t-mobile and it works fine. In fact everything is working fine except that when I connect to my computer, it does not see it to establish an account with itunes. What do I need to do?

  12. great music site for the iphone: http://seeqpod.net/iphone you can also build a playlist on the main site http://www.seeqpod.net and it shows up on the iphone instantly

  13. I just followed exactly the steps but having problems in installing appsnap. Once I pressed Install AppSnap it just says loading but never ends. Tried several times and even left it for more than 2 hours and still same problem. Is there any problem on the server or the problem is on my iPhone?

  14. you are za man, thanks budd

  15. Hello, I’m trying to install the anysim 1.1 but it doesn’t download, where can i find another location to do so

  16. this msg came in “please restart your iphone, anysim cannot unlock this phone, anysim will now restart

  17. The message comes because either you previously hacked your iphone or you have a new baseband firmware in your iphone
Go to iPhone Elite Team’s webpage to get more information on that
